Quick Start Guide: Creating a Report with Altru

Welcome to Altru, your trusted tool for generating impactful annual reports for non-profits. Follow this guide to create your first report and showcase your organization’s achievements.

Step 1: Log In to Your Account

  1. Open your web browser and go to Altru’s website: www.altru.ai.

  2. Click on the Log In button located at the top right corner of the homepage.

Step 2: Access the Dashboard

  1. After logging in, you will be directed to the Dashboard.

  2. The Dashboard is your central hub where you can manage all your reports and data integrations.

Step 3: Start a New Report

  1. On the Dashboard, click the Create Report button.

  2. You will be prompted to select a Report Template. Browse through the available templates and choose one that best fits your organization’s needs.

    • You can preview templates before selecting them.

Step 4: Customize Your Report

  1. Report Title and Date:

    • Enter a Title for your report.

  2. Add Sections:

    • Use the Add Section button to include various sections in your report such as Introduction, Financial Summary, Project Highlights, Donor Acknowledgments, etc.

    • Each section can be customized with text, images, graphs, and charts.

Step 5: Review and Edit

  1. Preview Report:

    • Click on the Preview button to see how your report will look. This allows you to make sure everything is in place and looks professional.

  2. Edit Content:

    • Make any necessary edits to the text, data, or layout. You can click directly on any section to edit it.

Step 6: Customize Branding

  1. Logo and Colors:

    • Add your organization’s Logo by clicking the Upload Logo button.

    • Customize the report’s color scheme to match your organization's branding. You can do this in the Branding Settings section.

  2. Fonts and Styles:

    • Choose from a variety of fonts and text styles to make your report look consistent with your organization’s other materials.

Step 7: Save and Export

  1. Save Report:

    • Click on the Save button to save your progress. Altru automatically saves your work periodically, but it’s good practice to save manually as well.

Step 8: Share Your Report

  1. Distribute:

    • You can share your report directly from Altru by publishing to the live url.

    • Alternatively, download the pdf report and share it through your organization’s preferred channels.
